Khaled Sabsabi, also called Peacefender, was born in Lebanon. He moved to Australia with his family in 1979. He lives and works in Australia. He is a multimedia artist. He has been involved in visual arts, sound production, film, theatre and hip-hop. He works at the Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre in western Sydney as an arts coordinator. Peacefender has worked a lot with young people, especially Arabic-speaking young people. He likes to see young people expressing themselves through art, music and theatre so that their voices are heard. He works with youth in schools, neighbourhoods and juvenile justice centres across Sydney.
